Ever since I discovered the wonders of leave-in conditioner a few years back, I can't get enough of the stuff. Bumble and Bumble's newest release however, is more than just an extra dose of moisture for your locks. Marketed as a primer, the spray also detangles, softens, de-frizzes and protects agains both UV and heat damage - talk about multi-tasking! I've been using this for the past few weeks and i'm pretty impressed. It dishes up just the right amount of oil without weighing down fine hair and also makes brushing and styling a whole lot more manageable. I can also sleep a bit easier knowing that it's helping to protect my hair from any heat damage as a result of the occasional ("cough" frequent *cough*) straightening and blow-drying.

There is also a shampoo and conditioner available in the Hairdresser's Invisible Oil range which I think I might just have to give a whirl. Have you tried any of the range yet?

When I first ventured into the world of MAC eyeshadow, I started off buying them in the individual pots. As cute as these are, as my collection has grown i've begun to find them a little less convenient to use compared to palettes and consequently, they've ended up being a little unloved at the back of my draws.

In an attempt to reignited my MAC eyeshadow flame, I purchased one of the 15 pan palettes and begun de-potting (well actually I left this task for Richard but I did supervise!). One casualty later (spot the cracked Satin Taupe in the top right corner), and my new palette had started to take form. I also bought two new additions, All That Glitters (actually a re-purchase as my first pot has been completely used up) and Sable. I honestly couldn't be happier with the result. Not only have I started to use my MAC eyeshadows again on more of a daily basis, but the look and feel of the palette is really quite lovely.

Since we're on the subject, I might as well divulge into a little breakdown of the shades I have so far (listed from left to right, row by row):

Phloof : A shimmery highlight shade that is perfect at brightening your eyes and making you look much more awake than you really are on Monday morning. I like to dab some onto the inner corners of my eyes but it also works well as a brow bone highlight.

All That Glitters : The eyeshadow that pretty much everyone and their dog has/loves/wants. This is my second purchase and is quite possibly the only shadow i've ever used up. It's a beautiful peach/gold toned nude shimmer that looks perfect alone or layered with other shades.

Satin Taupe : A cool toned taupe with a hint of shimmer. this is one of my favourite crease shades, but also works well blended over the entire lid.

Naked Lunch : This is a little paler, less pink toned All That Glitters. It's the perfect shade for the inner half of your lid.

Woodwinked : A coppery/gold with quite a metallic finish. I particularly love this in summer with bronzed skin and lashings of mascara.

Mulch : The second MAC eyeshadow I ever bought (the first was All That Glitters - no surprise there), Mulch is a warm chocolate brown with gold shimmer. I usually wear this in the crease or outer corners, but it also works well as a liner.

Gleam : A shade I bought waaaay back when I thought it was still a good idea to buy makeup depending on how pretty it looked rather than how practical it would be to wear. In the pan this looks really pink but on the lid the colour doesn't really translate and it's more of a golden shimmer. It's not one I reach for on it's own but a little bit patted onto the lid over other shades adds a pretty hint of shimmer.

Sable : The newest addition and one of my favourites yet. A warm brown with ever so slight purple undertones, this shade is perfect washed all over the lid.

The only problem with my new palette? That I now have an unyielding itch to fill it! Let the recommendations commence...

Boy does favourites time roll round quickly. With last months post scheduled so late (not that this one is particularly timely either), it's no wonder that it only seems like yesterday that I was typing out the deats of July's favourites. Not to worry though, as my 'spendy' ways have quickly led to another accumulation of much loved products to rave about in August's instalment of favourites.

Nails Inc Porchester Square

It's a wonder this polish hasn't appeared somewhere on the blog sooner as I've had this bottle for almost a year now. Porchester square has the whole nude nails thing perfected - it translates on the nails as a grey/nude hue with a hint of lilac that is one of the most easy to wear shades that I own. It's been one of my favourites for a while but after dusting it off in august after a few months apart, i've fallen head over heels all over again. Formula wise, it's not bad either, easily applied and an average wear time, however, I am very interested to try the gel version some time soon.

Lanolips Antibacterial Hand Cream

I'm a bit of a germ-a-thobe, so it's no surprise that hand sanitiser is a daily must. The only problem is that my hands have a tendency to dry out ridiculously easily (thanks Dad for the dry skin gene), so the alcohol in most antibacterial gels can be a bit harsh on my skin with frequent use. The Lanolips cream is my newly discovered solution as not only does it kill 99.9% of germs, it also moisturises your hands pretty darn well. A skin and time saver in one. 

Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel

I raved about this here so of course it was going to end up in my favourites too. This is without a doubt my favourite cleanser and one I can see myself using for a long time to come. It's improved everything from the texture to the appearance of my skin and made daily cleansing just a little bit more luxurious.

Bobbi Brown Corrector in Porcelain Bisque

On days when things are looking a little bit dark under the eyes (something that could probably be avoided by not staying up to the early hours binging on episode of One Tree Hill), this is what i've been using to made myself look more awake. Patted on under concealer it neutralises dark circles and discolouration for that extra bit of coverage. I've also found that on days where things a looking a little less 'zombie like', this works well alone for brightening up the eye area.

L'Occitane Hule de Douche Almond Shower Oil

A shower oil that smells A-mazing and leaves skin feeling A-mazing, what's not to love? (perhaps the price but let's just ignore that for now!). Every time I treat myself to a blob of this, my skin always feels silky smooth and smells pretty good too. I've found that it also doubles up pretty well as a bath oil. I can't deny that it's pricey, but it's definitely a lovely treat that adds a bit of luxury to everyday bathing.
