These are a few of my favourite things...

May 27, 2014

I always use to think that fresh flowers were such a waste of money and made it perfectly clear to Richard that chocolate would be a much more welcome gift. In recent months however, it seems i've had a change of heart as I luuurve having fresh blooms dotted around the apartment. I've begun stalking the flower section in Aldi on a weekly basis as they're such good value and last for well over a week.

For Christmas I was lucky enough to receive a Diptyque Gift Set and i've been loving sampling the different scents. Figuier is one of my favourites and I might just have to buy the full sized jar once this runs out (which hopefully won't be for a while yet...)

I've finally started watching the Game of Thrones Series and boy am I addicted. I think I made it through the first series in less than two weeks and i'm well on my way to finishing the second. I'm pretty sure i'll be cracking open the book soon.

I've been using the Ren Evercalm Gentle Cleansing Milk morning and night over the past few months and my skins been loving it. It's doesn't irritate my sensitive skin yet i've found it hydrating enough to nourish dry skin. At £16 a bottle it's also quite good value as a little goes a long way.

The Lazy Girl Eye Duo

May 24, 2014

When it comes to me and mornings, we just don't mix. I press the snooze button waaay too many times and even once i'm up everything seems to happen in slow motion.

To save myself precious minutes in the morning, I've accumulated quite a few time efficient products, but my most recent discovery comes in the form of Rimmel's Scandal Eyes eyeshadow paint in Rich Russet. I'm quite familiar with cream eyeshadow but liquid is a formula I haven't tried before in that department. Though I have to admit, i'm really loving it right now. I've been applying a small blob to my lids then blending out with my finger for a long lasting sweep of colour. It's one of those shades that you can use alone but still look as if you put a lot more effort in that you actually did...

For a little bit of added depth i've been sweeping some of the Rimmel Exaggerate Waterproof Eye Definer onto my lash line to help make my lashes look fuller and add definition. I find this is a lot easier than liquid liner as it doesn't require quite us much precision and comes with a handy sponge 'smudger' on the other end (just incase things get a little wonky). If only getting out of bed was this easy I might have a bit more time on my hands...

Spring Newbies

May 11, 2014

I've been flirting with the Tom Ford lipsticks for quite a while now, and after spotting the new Spring/Summer release housed in beautiful white and gold packaging, I finally parted with the cash. The sheer formula is right up my street and the pretty pink shade of Summer fling is oh so flattering. There is a real luxury feel to Tom Ford lipsticks (yes i'm taking about that 'car door close'), that makes simply owning one satisfying.

I got this little bunny shaped bubble bar from lush at Easter. It's so cute and smells delicious. There is something so relaxing about climbing into a bathtub filled to the rim with bubbles. I might go run one now...

The new Clinique blushes have been getting a lot of attention from the blogging world recently, and for good reason. Aside from the fact that the flower design makes these one of the prettiest blushes ever, the formula is also pretty wonderful. It's a powder but applies like a cream and blends out effortlessly. I have the shade Plum Pop, a flattering cool toned pink with very subtle shimmer which I've been applying daily; though when it comes to these, I'm not sure that one is enough and I've found myself eyeing up Peach Pop...
