My Easter Weekend

April 21, 2014

I love everything about Easter - chocolate, bunnies and pastels, what's not to love?! This Easter I've really enjoyed relaxing at home with good food and good company. After spending the first two days of the bank holiday painting, Sunday and Monday have been a bit more festive. On Sunday I enjoyed a delicious Roast Dinner followed by a generous helping of mini eggs and other Easter themed chocolate. Today the feast continues with a spot of Easter biscuit baking in the morning followed by more chocolate...hello food coma

I love having fresh flowers in the apartment and this pastel coloured bunch are perfect for Easter. I'm also in love with these little bunnies - I spotted them in Tesco and just couldn't leave them behind, they're so cute!

Richard spoiled me this Easter with not just one egg but two! He did pretty well too, A giant Kinder Egg with a Polly Pocket surprise (I am five!) and a Butterfinger bunny, my two favorite types of chocolate - yum. This little wooden bunny was also a lovely little present and looks great hung up on my dressing table.

I'm going to spend the rest of the day munching on chocolate and biscuits before the detox starts tomorrow. I hope you all had a wonderful Easter.

A Little Life Update

April 13, 2014

Things have been rather quiet on the blog over the past few months, though my life recently has been a lot more hectic. At the beginning of April, I finally moved into my own apartment, overflowing suitcase and boyfriend in tow. After weeks of Ikea trips, home hauls and flat pack furniture building, things are finally beginning to resemble normal. We're still waiting eagerly for the sofa to be delivered and internet installed, but other than that we are pretty much up and running.

I bought the above keyring from Edinburgh last year but haven't used it until now. It's the perfect addition to my new keys. I love having my own space to decorate and really make my own. In a way, it feels like my own little castle.

Hopefully things will be looking a little bit more lively on the blog again. I might have been covered head to toe in paint for the past few weeks, but I've still managed to accumulate several bits and pieces that I can't wait to share.
